Kristian Schuller is a Paris-based photographer, born in Romania, Kristian emigrated with his family to Germany at the age of 8. He has been shooting professionally for 12 years but his interest in photography began much earlier. His first book, “90 Days, One Dream”, was published in 2010. Award: Silver Medal “Deutscher Fotobuchpreis 2011”.
He studied fashion design with Vivienne Westwood and photography with FC Gundlach at the University of Fine Arts Berlin. Westwood took Kristian to Paris, showing him the world of fashion shows and the fashion atmosphere of Paris. After 5 years of studying he had a passion for photography.
After his initial introduction by Isabella Blow to Condé Nast Publications in London, Kristian has continued working internationally with various fashion magazines and commercial clients.
90 Days One Dream is a road movie of fantastically staged photo shoots by Kristian Schuller. An adventure that became about one thing for everyone involved – a dream. The book was a daring project parallel to the TV production – Germany’s Next Top Model“ (GNTM) presented by Heidi Klum.
After travelling around the world as a photographer he made Paris his home, but spending the majority of his working time in London. His work has included photographs for magazines such as Vogue Hellas, Harper’s Bazaar, Stiefelkonig and Vogue Gioiello, photographing models including Gisele Buendchen, Amber Arbucci and Heidi Klum. In 2004 Kristian’s photographic work featured on the front cover of Duran Duran’s Astronaut album.
Kristian recently shot the Venezia perfume campaign for Laura Biagotti and has also shot for Ghost Perfume, Triumph Lingerie and Boodles Jewelry London. Other advertising clients include Swatch, Sony Ericcson and Jumeirah Hotels amongst others.
